Great Blue Heron.
Rockport and Aransas County, in general, are great places for birding. Many seabirds stay here year around. Some, like ducks, geese, Sandhill Cranes, and of course Whooping Cranes, winter in the area. The county is on migratory routes for hundreds of species that come through in the spring and fall.
